About Geo Feeds
What if we could create location-aware communities without relying on closed platforms like Nextdoor?
Geo Feeds is the first step toward making that a reality.
For too long, local information has been locked away in big tech data silos. Geo Feeds puts control back in your hands, allowing you to share and discover local updates directly with your neighbors.
In a world that feels increasingly disconnected, Geo Feeds helps rebuild local communities—one post at a time.
How It Works
Geo Feeds is simple to use:
- Set your location and radius on the setup page.
- Add the custom feed to your Feeds section.
- Post to your local Geo Feed by mentioning @geo.feeds.social in your post.
- View your local Geo Feed to see posts from others nearby.
That’s it! Try it out and tell us what you'd like to see next.
What's Next?
Geo Feeds is an MVP—just the beginning of what's possible.
We're actively working on adding places to the AT Protocol, so soon, you’ll be able to mention local spots in your posts, making them visible to others nearby or following that place.
Other upcoming features include:
- Check-ins – A simple way to let others know where you are.
- Notifications – Stay updated on what’s happening around you.
- Post types – Local events, reviews, and listings for a richer community experience (which may require a custom client).
- Custom feeds – More ways to tailor Geo Feeds to your interests.
